Job Description

As a Product Security Partner Real Estate and Emerging Verticals of Adevinta (RE&EV) at Adevinta, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our applications and collaborating with product and engineering teams to implement effective security measures.


Reporting to the Product Security Partner Manager, you will be responsible for enabling product security initiatives, providing architecture advisory and guidance, supporting vulnerability remediation efforts, engaging with customers for compliance questionnaires, and serving as a facilitator during security incidents for your assigned product team.

The role is open in all our Technical Hubs: Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Berlin (plus Milan).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enabling Product Security Initiatives: Collaborate with product teams to drive the implementation of product security initiatives and ensure that security is integrated into the product development process. 

  • Product Advisory & Guidance Architecture (1st level): Provide advice and guidance on product security architecture, design, and implementation including Threat Modelling exercises. Assist product teams in making informed decisions regarding security controls, technologies, and best practices. 

  • Conduct security assessments and reviews of products to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.

  • Support on Vulnerability Remediation (1st level): Work closely with product and engineering teams to support the priorization and remediation of security vulnerabilities. 

  • Fulfil Compliance Questionnaires or Interlocution with Customers: Assist in responding to compliance questionnaires and customer inquiries related to security. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, compliance, and sales teams, to ensure accurate and timely completion of security-related documentation and customer requests

  • Facilitator in Case of a Security Incident for Product Team: Act as a primary point of contact and facilitator during security incidents affecting the assigned product team. Ensure timely communication among relevant stakeholders, and facilitate the resolution of security incidents by engaging the necessary resources and escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in product security, application security, or a similar role within the technology industry.

  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, application security principles, and secure software development methodologies.

  • Familiarity with industry security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse security issues and recommend appropriate remediation actions.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with industry security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.(Especially knowledge of Spanish and European regulatory compliance, information governance, and privacy best practices)

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
