At Adevinta, we’re committed to the highest ethical values, accountability and standards of integrity and we expect the same from our suppliers.
Even though the risks associated with the environmental, social and governance impact of our supply chain are low compared to other industry sectors such as manufacturing, we are committed to the highest ethical values, accountability and standards of integrity in our business and expect the same from our supplier portfolio.
To help us find suppliers we are perfectly matched with, we’ve created a Supplier Code of Conduct. This ensures that our suppliers are aware of, respect and comply with Adevinta’s expectations on ethical conduct and sustainability. This Code sets the foundation for developing and maintaining stable, trusting and long-lasting partnerships, detailing the business practices and standards we expect.
The Code is written in accordance with best practices specific to our industry. It’s based on applicable legislation, the OECD’s Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the ten principles of the United Nation Global Compact (UNGC) and its underlying conventions and declarations.
Our Code applies to all of our suppliers, who in turn are responsible for ensuring their supply chain upholds the same standards. In this way, our Code provides a common ground for sustainability and contributes to Adevinta’s ambition of creating committed supplier partnerships.
Many other important policies support our Ethics and Compliance programme. In fact, effective policy management is a critical part of Adevinta’s overall risk and control organisation. It maintains a culture of regulatory compliance, guides employee conduct, protects the organisation, assisting in its strategic objectives, and defines the roles and responsibilities to drive accountability.
Adevinta expects its suppliers to report any breach of the standards of this Supplier Code of Conduct. Adevinta also expects its suppliers to report unethical practises from Adevinta’s employees where observed. Whilst in the first instance, it is recommended that all reports are submitted to a supplier’s regular Adevinta contact, Adevinta has a third-party operated whistle-blower function through which a Supplier can anonymously report any non-conformity with, including but not limited to, this Code, internal Adevinta policies and local regulations.
